From July 17 through July 19, Veritas Jiu Jitsu is hosting Robson Moura — one of the most decorated and respected names in the history of the sport. The weekend kicks off with a FREE open mat on Friday, July 17, followed by the full two-day seminar on Saturday and Sunday, July 18–19. If you train in Edmond, Oklahoma City, Guthrie, or anywhere in central Oklahoma, this is a rare chance to learn directly from a world-class black belt without leaving the metro. Whether you’re brand new to the mats or chasing your next stripe, you’ll walk away from this weekend a better grappler.

Who Is Robson Moura?
Robson Moura is a multiple-time world champion and a decorated black belt whose name carries serious weight in the Jiu Jitsu world. He built his reputation on a fast, technical, and creative style — the kind of game that rewards timing and precision over brute strength. More than that, he’s known as an exceptional teacher: someone who can break down high-level concepts so that a six-month white belt and a seasoned competitor both leave with something they can use Monday night.
That’s exactly why we’re bringing him to Veritas. Our academy was built on high-level instruction with a smile in every corner, and a seminar like this is what that promise looks like in action.
What the Weekend Looks Like
This isn’t a quick guest appearance — it’s a full weekend designed to actually move your game forward, in both gi and no-gi:
- Friday, July 17 — FREE Open Mat. Roll, ask questions, and get hands-on guidance in a relaxed setting. No cost, no excuses — come see what it’s about.
- Saturday & Sunday, July 18–19 — The Seminar. Two days of high-level instruction (detailed techniques and the concepts behind them) plus live training to pressure-test what you just learned against resisting partners.
Across the weekend you’ll sharpen entries, control, and finishes you can fold straight into your existing game — whether your focus is competition, self-defense, or just getting 1% better every day.
Who Should Come?
Short answer: everyone who trains. Seminars are often where the biggest breakthroughs happen, because you get a fresh set of world-class eyes on your Jiu Jitsu.
- Beginners — Don’t talk yourself out of it. The fundamentals Robson teaches are the same ones that win world titles, and learning them early sets your foundation right.
- Intermediate and advanced students — This is where you steal the small details that separate good from great.
